Come On Feel the Noise!

Happy June Reader!

June is always a special month for us, the start of summer, warmer temps and, of course, Amy’s birthday!

She had a busy May, and to finish it off, she presented at the “Women Business Connect Global Summit” in front of women business leaders from all over the world. If you missed it, her 20-minute presentation, Storytelling for Business Success, was a fantastic experience. Amy works her magic to pull the story out of what some might think of as a run-of-the-mill “why did I start my business” story. She briefly focused on storytelling foundations while engaging the audience in a way that kept them hooked on what she had to say. Amy told her Hammer - story explaining why she is such a strong marketer and storyteller.

4 Reasons to Start a Waitlist then Launch your Course or Product

If you’ve ever felt overwhelmed by the sheer volume of marketing messages out there, you’re not alone. In today’s crowded digital landscape, it’s harder than ever to make your new course or product stand out. But there’s a powerful, often-overlooked strategy that can help you rise above the noise. That involves building a waitlist before launching. Yes, it adds time before your launch, but it provides valuable insights prior to your launch. Is this the same as building your parachute after your jump? Not quite, its more like making sure you have a place to land before you jump.

Generate Buzz and Anticipation

A waitlist transforms your course or program launch into a highly anticipated event. By inviting people to join early, you create a sense of urgency and exclusivity—your audience feels like they're part of an inner circle with special privileges. This feeling of being “first in line” taps into the psychology of scarcity and belonging, making your offer more desirable. As people sign up, they’re likely to share with friends and colleagues, spreading the word and amplifying your reach. The anticipation you build can lead to increased interest and momentum. To make sure your launch doesn’t get lost in the noise but instead stands out as something people are eager to join.

Get a Real Feel for Interest

A waitlist provides you with real measurements about who is interested in your course or program. This insight allows you to make informed decisions about your launch—such as how many spots to offer, what price points to set, and how much to invest in marketing. You can also segment your waitlist to identify your most engaged prospects, enabling you to personalize your communications and maximize conversion rates. Ultimately, a waitlist removes the guesswork and helps you launch with confidence, knowing you have a group of people ready and waiting to enroll.

Hey! A Built-in Audience

Now you have a pool of warm leads. This pre-qualified audience is far more likely to convert than a cold audience, leading to higher enrollment numbers and a more successful launch overall. Additionally, you can nurture your waitlist with exclusive updates, sneak peeks, and early-bird offers. When you finally open enrollment, you’re activating a community that’s already invested in your success, which can create a powerful ripple effect as they share their experiences and encourage others to join.

Make the Best Refinements

A waitlist gives you direct access to your most engaged potential customers. You can survey your waitlist to learn about their goals, challenges, and preferences, allowing you to fine-tune your course content, pricing, and messaging. This early feedback helps you address objections, clarify your value proposition, and ensure your offer truly resonates with your audience.

Ready to Rise Above the Noise?

If you’re planning to launch a new course or program, don’t let your message get lost in the shuffle. Start building your waitlist now, and set yourself up for a launch that’s not just heard, but truly anticipated.

Happy Birthday, Amy!

June marks the month to celebrate Amy’s birthday, yes I said month! We love to celebrate our birthday months. Why settle for just a single day, right?

Happy Birthday to my most wonderful wife. Who inspires and supports my dreams and ambitions, no matter how big, grandiose, silly, or serious. Amy is there for me, and for her family, friends, and all people in her life. Amy makes the world a better place more than anyone else I know. She cares deeply about the people in her life and is a joy to be around. She truly brings out the best in the world around her.

Happy Birthday, the love of my life!

Speaking of following dreams…

Amy and I are launching a new board game called Nutorious.

Notorious is a family-friendly board game where you are the leader of the local squirrel mafia with the goal of sending your best thugs to battle, taking out your rivals, and scoring the most nuts to win.

Go to bones.humerusgames.com to sign up for the waitlist (an example of the waitlist) for the official Kickstarter launch. While you’re there, you can deposit $1 for an exclusive mini-expansion.
